LAX Airport Metro Connector
Role: Designer
Type: Interaction Design, Wayfinding, Industrial Design, Rail + Mass Transit
Description
The LAX Airport Metro Connector is a new hub that will house rail and bus transportation, intersecting the new airport people mover. This station will become a true transport hub - intersecting various modes of transportation and will become the gateway entry to the city of Los Angeles.
“Once complete, the Airport Metro Connector (AMC) Transit Station (near Aviation Blvd/96th St) will provide a connection to a future Automated People Mover (APM) to be built and operated by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). In June 2014, the Metro Board of Directors approved adding a station to the Crenshaw/LAX Line (currently under construction) at Aviation Blvd/96th St that will serve as a transit “Gateway” to LAX.”
